Put Your Hand To The Plough And DON’T Look Back!
Hey Everyone,
It was a challenging week and I am looking forward to a fresh start a new week brings. This week as I was reading in Luke I really resonated with chapter 9 verse 62 which says: "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." Jesus explained to those who considered being his disciples to take time to consider their decisions because there was no going back once one stepped onto his path, that it would be better to not take the path then to start the journey and then quit. When we "put our hand to the plow" we must be ready for a lifetime relationship with and following Jesus Christ.
My takeaway is to keep looking forward and not back. Dwelling on the past only brings doubts, questions and possible heartache of the "what if's". Being steady and looking forward, making course corrections when needed, and strengthening our testimonies is a great way to move forward.
Yesterday in Sacrament meeting I shared my testimony on the beautiful ordinance of the Sacrament. Why it is so important to take the sacrament and to try and learn all that we can about the sacrament. We are all imperfect people from all walks of life and Heavenly Father provided a way for us to overcome our challenges and difficult times and that is through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
We spent some time in service to some less active branch members this week. It's always good to get outside and move and help others who need it. Our weather seems to be changing from cloudy, gloomy days to scattered clouds and a little bit of sunshine seeping through.
Appointments fell through, but new appointments were made with new people that we will teach this week.
I taught another training on having courage this week at District council.
Unfortunately the hint of spring has brought on my allergies the past two weeks.
P-day was spent cleaning, shopping and laundry. We are off to do some more service for a family in the branch.
