Time Keeps On Ticking…But Not My Watch

Hello Everyone!

Yep, my second watch bit the dust this week. I'll get a replacement and see how long the next one lasts.

Friday night volleyball was great. I was able to share a favorite scripture and spiritual message with everyone who attended.

We had a great lunch with some local members this week. It was good to catch up and talk about missionary work.

In my last area, Three Forks Ward, there is a member named, Sister Burks. One night she asked if I would give her a blessing because her eyesight was failing and she was losing her ability to see. As I placed my hands on her head I can't remember everything that was said but she reminded me that in the blessing I told her her vision would come back. I was notified this week that her vision is indeed coming back and she wanted me to know. Miracles do happen!

Here's another story for my Spring Creek friends. We were at a ward member's home this week for dinner when we met a young single adult at their home (we are assuming he's dating one of the daughters). He asks me where I'm from and I tell him Spring Creek, NV and he tells me he knows someone who lives in Spring Creek, NV. I ask him who and he says Gordon Thomas....that he is his uncle and their dads are brothers. The young man's name is Maverick Thomas. Such a small world.

Elder Chavez and I have been working hard this week finding and teaching new people and sharing messages with those on our member rolls. We met a gal named Seon who was baptized about 7 years ago. She is now asking us to teach her two children, Sabine and Sighiers.

I have been studying and reading about prayer this week. One thing that stuck out to me that I wanted to share is we need to prepare for the things we pray for. The reason we need to do that is because sometimes the preparation is the answer to our prayer!
