“Fear Not What Man Can Do”

Hello Everyone,

We had Stake Conference this weekend and since the Stake Center is out of our boundaries we watched it via Zoom at several ward members' homes. We had an amazing breakfast feast (pictures below) and enjoyed listening to the messages.

We had the best time serving others this week and moved two ward families into new homes. The Jones family needed help again this week and we moved all of the big, heavy items including a large piano and it was incredibly difficult and I am still sore from the exertion. We also helped the Zundl family move and did much of the same heavy lifting. I actually really enjoy serving others and moving and helping families brings me joy.

I will spend my last few days in the Three Forks Ward as I will be transferred on Thursday. Of course I don't know where I will go or who my new companion will be. Always a fun mystery and I am excited about new opportunities and ward to serve in. Hopefully we will get a chance to stop by a few members' homes to say goodbye.

We are working hard visiting and spreading the gospel to everyone we can possibly contact throughout the week. LEXI left town and we haven't heard from her. We are hoping to make contact with her this week. AMANDA is a new FB find and we are hoping to catch her home this week. JEANNIE well...there's always too much to share about her situation. But, between lost dogs, a leg infection, and a mix up on what the Word of Wisdom is, we are doing our best. JOAN decided that she wants to continue to learn from another Church and will contact us once she feels like she can. SHONITA fed us a great meal and continues to be friends with many ward members. ALEX is new and difficult to teach because of distance in traveling. ALLEN family is a less active/slightly active family we are teaching. Things are moving forward there. We are teaching the ALFARO family and MAGDALENA is part of that family. We gave blessings to most of the family members and they have 5 children, one is not in the area.

Lots of great things happened this week and Brother Rickey took us to visit several families and it was a great experience and one that I won't soon forget. He has so many of his own mission stories he shares and inspires us to keep at it.

I've been doing Mission Social Media work as a message specialist with the BE WITH CHRIST KC facebook page. It's been a great opportunity to have extra responsibilities and manage the messages that come in online.

We had some great 70 degree plus days this week here in Missouri and we sure enjoyed the beautiful weather.

We spent P-day with the Zone today and one of the sister missionaries enjoyed my guitar (See video below). We played sand volleyball and Elder Barney got his haircut. We worked once we got home and shared messages.

This week I have been reading 1st Samual, Psalms and the Easter story in the New Testament. Some of things that touched me are, fear not what man can do, trust in the Lord's timing, and be there for your friends. Use your friends to help you! That's what they are there for, just like you'd help them, they want to help you.
