6 Month Mark And Lots Of Service

Hey Everyone,

This has been a busy week of serving others and chilly weather. We were able to help serve several ward members with moves and other service needs.

This week marked my 6 months serving as a full time proselyting missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! What a blessing the past six months have been. The amazing mission I am serving in and the people that I've met and the companions that I've served with. I am grateful for all of the lessons and messages that I've taught so far and look forward to the next 18 months with joy and happiness and a heart willing to serve!

Today we spent our P-Day doing service at the Bed and Breakfast in Bethany which is owned by Brother Howard and his wife Shauntea. After we did our service we were able to teach Shauntea lesson #4 The Commandments. Shauntea really loved the lesson and agreed with what was taught. She is continuing to progress and we feel positive she will be baptized.

We also helped Sister Frankle move her restaurant from one location to the Bed and Breakfast. She is the ward member who owns a pie restaurant and feeds us tacos on Tuesday's. She will be back up and open soon and is now a little closer to our apartment.

We are teaching Robert and he is very interested. He fed us this week and afterwards we shared a lesson. We thought for sure he would attend Church yesterday but he didn't, we will follow up this week.

Jeannie didn't have any time for us last week and we hope to visit her this week.

We followed up with James who Elder Collins and I found a few weeks ago. He had a stroke and is slowly recovering the best that he can. We gave him a Book of Mormon and he has asked that we come over often and read it with him.

This week we had interviews with President Ames and it is always good to see him and sit with him. He gives great advice and supports all of us as we serve.

We had a great Nerf gun war following District Council this week...our district definitely enjoys these quick break out sessions to shake things up--video included with this email hopefully.

And...it is TRANSFER week this week and Elder Hancock and I will be staying in Three Forks and will remain companions another transfer which I am very grateful for.

This week I had studied a specific topic and it was interesting to me that during a lesson with an investigator he asked a question about that EXACT topic. I was prepared and answered the question easily and quickly. The investigator said that how I explained the answer made sense to him. I know that Heavenly Father knows all and He can prepare us to Stand as a Witness at all times.
