“Blessed Is He That Keepeth My Commandments”
Hello Everyone,
In my personal scripture study this week I was taught/reminded how important it is to keep the commandments and be obedient. In Doctrine and Covenants section 58 verse 2 it says: "For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven."
And, in Mosiah 2:22 it says, "And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments, and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you."
Obedience is the first law of everything that follows from a loving Heavenly Father! Obedience brings blessings. Obedience brings joy. Obedience allows for growth and stretching. All can enjoy the blessings received by a loving Heavenly Father if we just keep the commandments.
#PRAY FOR EIGHT
BOOMATAY'S: The three Boomatay children attended church again this Sunday. We have the green light to continue to teach them and they will be baptized next Sunday, November 14th.
PAUL: We've taught Paul most of this week. He's progressing well and is embracing the gospel in his life. He is on book to be baptized Sunday, November 28th.
If you'd like a great story to read go to Gospel Library and search Teachings of Presidents and select Wilford Woodruff. Go to chapter 16 and read the first story From the Life of Wilford Woodruff. I appreciated this story and know that we all face such difficult trials and challenges at times. Through it all Heavenly Father is in charge and stands ready to help us. The experience President Woodruff had with his wife is a testimony to me about faith and being obedient.
Have a great week!
